Enrique Vilamitjana
Managing Director, Panasonic Heating and Cooling Solutions Europe“I have worked in the heating and cooling industry for the past 25 years, with much of my experience at Panasonic. Based in Barcelona, Spain, my current position is Managing Director, Panasonic AC & Heating Europe and I am also a Member of the Board of Panasonic Appliances Europe. I joined Panasonic as the Air Conditioning Business Unit Director in 1997 at Panasonic Spain and became Head of the European Air Conditioning Business Unit in 2008. I hold Masters in Telecommunications and Electronic Engineering from the University Ramon Llull in Barcelona, a MBA from the EADA Business School in Barcelona, a degree from INSEAD, Paris and joined the IMD Program for Executive Development.
Thanks to my twenty-five years of experience, I had the chance to not only work on air-conditioning, but also on heat pumps and air-to-water solutions, overseeing Panasonic European businesses, leading the opening of the first Panasonic heat pump factory in Czech Republic. My experience is a strong asset when it comes to assessing the interlinkage between business and product implications with political and legislative developments, while being in contact with a wide number of stakeholders from the HVAC value chain. The growth of the heat pump market which is a key enabler of the decarbonization of society, is my priority.”
