Highlights

The Heat Pump Forum served as a dynamic platform for exchanging knowledge and strategies, emphasising the pivotal role of heat pumps in Europe’s clean energy transition. Organised by the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA), the event brought together over 250 participants to discuss key topics such as energy security, industrial heat pumps, and innovative business models.

A key highlight was the Heat Pump Award ceremony, celebrating innovative projects that drive sustainability within the sector. Alongside this, participants enjoyed valuable networking opportunities during coffee breaks, the cocktail reception, and dinner, with the evening rounded off by a live performance from Foxtet. Over 60 pre-scheduled meetings took place in the Networking Corner, with many more spontaneous discussions happening throughout the event.

On the first day, new data was launched showing that heat pumps are helping avoid 5.5 billion cubic metres of gas and reduce emissions from European buildings by around 5%. Despite these successes, heat pump sales have dropped by 47% in the first half of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023. What can be done to reverse this trend? Read the full press release.
